A TRILLION HERE A TRILLION THERE

Had to update Dirksen to keep up

Is it really wise to hedge our holdings with physical gold? Yes, people with real brains are asking these silly questions. Maybe this ongoing rush to gold is being copied by those silly ones that actually believe there are buried bodies hidden below those beautiful lawns we call cemeteries. And this is why our ultimate financial crash will eventually fall on top of our pour heads. So many believe there just ain’t no acorns hovering over our heads ready to drop.

How about what the masters have to say about the future of the direction of gold? A lot of people don’t really understand these people as I do. These are a devout, religious group of people made much as the Amish. I understand that many of the Rothschild’s are going back to their roots and establishing vegetable and dairy farms in upper Pennsylvania country. I believe the major difficulty is the sects vow to with hold from any future use of soap in the future.

But God will bless these wonderful people as He always has. The Rothschild’s do make the market in gold. A humble people. Made strong in the ghettoes of ancient Germany. Their life style has shown a proven disdain of worldly riches and massive wealth and power. And the family has a great respect for paper choosing its use very conservatively except in places of need such as the Federal Reserve Bank. Time folk quit picking on them and started trying to understand them.

David Rockefeller or a much younger Rothschild will be the tar baby (Tar Czar?). And of course the conspiracy goes that just as soon as they get that monopoly on all that tar all of us are going to become “tar babies.”

Physical gold will continue to be an excellent insurance as the Fed crashes the US dollar. Its not as important how high gold may temporarily rise as the knowledge that it is going to maintain its rate of value while the stock market crashes.

Fear and greed ultimately are the defining events controlling the price of gold. The Chinese are continuing to play an ever greater role in the gold market. According to the World Gold Council Chinese gold consumption is expected to about double in another 10 years.

  5. Nancy,

Any time the madness gets too much stay away until it starts making sense. It's not EASY to understand darkness without allowing it to swallow you, it requires lots of awareness and that concept is very applicable in the stock market.

  14. Homer,

GORO's fate from now on is not important since that baby went up from $1 to $14 in about 3 yrs, one of the best junior mining performances I have seen.

  16. All,

The reason you should be cautious about Gold and silver miners in the short to intermediate term is: 1) most of them have had great runs from the bottom, 2) they have not been taken to the woodshed like the other sectors, 3) if overall market goes thru retracement ( S&P testing 1000 or 950) then hedge funds would liquidate their gold and silver mining positions due to margin call on the other crappy sectors.

  17. Dave,

DCTH and ARNA holding nicely. ARNA is waiting to see whether they get FDA approval on their obesity drug on September or not, the stck has done great since it hit 2.80. DCTH was a no brainer when it got hammered from 16 down to 5.50 in short time.

  18. Fast money unanimous buy gold.....we all better get out of the trade....I wish they were bearish heheheheh...and agree with Joe hold core and wait for the beat down

  19. kli,

Entering the long side of any stock heavy within a sector that has done very well from bottom is usually not a great idea since the risk of getting dumped on increases.

  20. hedgie longs are too overweight expecting an immediate stagflation rally and will be taken slightly to woodshed before the actual stagflation rallies can start. Right shoulder capitulation on S&P might have to complete in Order to proceed with stagflation rally in intermediate term.

Still have DTO position. Physical gold different, but completely out of paper miners at the moment.

Fed has announced more monetization and Quant Easing going forward but algorithms will finish the down wave first on the daily, with targets around 950 to 980 with a very remote chance of failure to around the 765 level, but 1020 has to be taken out first before a short term capitulation bottom is even on the table.

Markets more like white water rafting and enjoying being thrown out and sucked under and seeing how long stay under and if you get spit back up. As for personal darkness, most people enjoy staying under like Ms. Michelle Antoinette.

  21. Red,

There was no surprise to what FED announced today, in line with what we discussed before heheee!

    P.S.

    I like your last statement.

  24. Red,

This goes back to what discussed before which is if the idiot behaves like that over what she considers bad service, imagine what she will try to do if she is actually hungry with not much food around and that takes us to reactions of people when economic depression starts.

  25. Russian wheat crop failures along with Federal Reserve stagflation policy will give us our first glimpse sometime in 2011 to early 2012. It will be worse than any Chile earthquake because of shear size and geography of the food shortages.

  26. Believe me, Joe, I've been there many times in the past 2 years(has it only been 2 yrs.?), unable to sleep, etc. Just have to step away sometimes and "get a life" while I still can! Whereas back then, absolutely no one I knew was talking about the financial collapse almost everyone talks about it regularly now. I am slowly moving into cash, right now about 40%.

    ReplyDelete
  27. nancy,

I know you aware sister and because you are aware it's better to stay away than trying to make sense from this upcoming mess. Get yourself positioned for the upcoming depression by having enough cash and food.

  28. A 4.3% decrease in wheat (the bread of bread and circuses) along with continuing annual population growth of 1.1% is significant. Economic dislocation mainly from stagflation policy which will increase the input components like fuel (oil) will slowly price segments of the population out.

Gardens like gold need to be protected. The can food route is only good for the shelf life but slowly having a plan going into 2011-2012 to have at least 3-6 weeks of food is important if panic erupts and hoarding empties the grocery shelves.

  30. Do not forget the dry foods especially rice, pastas, barley, split peas, and a variety of dry beans. These have a longer shelf life than canned goods and are packed full of protein and can be stretched to provide food for longer period of time. Those with children, do not forget to have dry powdered milk on hand as well.
