THE NEW INSANITY

Black is white. Up is down. Peace is war. Freedom is torture. Truth is lying.

These are the principles that now form the framework of this country and its inhabitants. Just like all of the countries around the world that are having breakdowns within their autocratic, theocratic, plutocratic, corporocratic, god forsaken pieces of shit excuses for a government ..........so have we begun our journey into oblivion.

Another day in a stock market that presides over a dying and decaying economy pretending to represent the hope that a debt mired, structurally paralyzed nation can somehow wallow in one last bolt of monetary adrenaline and rise up to resume a march to glory. Somehow hiring and putting eight million people back to work in god knows what kind of jobs that will pay a wage that will allow the family to pay for still over priced homes that are being propped up by a myriad of psuedo mortgages fluffed by ZIRP and sustained by hope. These eight million new jobs over the next couple of years will allow us to stabilize prices of exploding basic foods as we begin the arduous task of purchasing our own debt bonds with the new found growing economic juggernaut.

Not only do we take over our debt problems and strengthen our dollar as interest rates rise but we sustain the burdeoning demographic weight of an ever growing older population of baby boomers requiring even more expensive medical and social resources.

But not to be outdone by these strains we decide that indeed we are the greatest empire in the world and our psuedo patriotic debt slavery to the military industrial complex allows us to expand even further our 800 military bases in 125 countries. Which of course is absolutely necessary because "they" hate us for our freedom. Which of course means to protect that freedom we create even more wars halfway around the world against even more sovereign governments and peoples that happen to have oil. If we couldn't create wars for oil then it will be wars for something else....maybe water. It will not stop. It is written.

Now like all the Byzantine powers in history this too shall pass. It may seem like an eternity to the millions of people suffering from the abuse of power but then you only need to look into the passage of history for your answer how nature ultimately deals with all human evils.

Don't worry about the market. Its only a game. Pay attention to what is important in your life. The pain and suffering of the poor people in the South after nature showed you her power deserves your attention, thoughts, and prayers. They are real. They aren't a ticker tape of Bullshit that is created to delude you into believing this country has bright future. They will surely be superceded by a contrived wealth in decadence event in London that will verify that you too can fly with Pixie Dust one day. The masses must have their make believe.

After all this is about survival. Who's survival? Now that should be obvious. This sand is slowly spilling into the sea of lies that compose this country. When nature's hour glass of sand is empty then we will no longer have this game. Make your plans and recognize there is only one thing that we are guaranteed in life. Even the PTB cannot escape that guarantee. gl

Today I'm betting on black.

  1. Phil's post on Phil's Stock World today was filled with similar sarcasm. He writes that 1% of our population is benefitting on the backs of the 99% that are growing progressively poorer. It will end badly.

He does post that the Russell (^RUT) made a new high. Since the other indices tend to follow the Russell, the trend upwards could continue. But, he is disgusted with the whole situation.

I admit it--succumbed to watching the extravaganza...I could never understand why the Brits put up with this...but look at the sheeple, look at the sheeple...love England and all the history, but certainly see it in different terms since my enlightenment...that's my diatribe for the day...GL everyone...(oh, but more importantly, the Panthers got Cam Newton)

  10. Its relatively uncomplicated the bankers hijacked our manufacturing with a series of MASSIVE M&A beginning in the 80s with the invention of derivatives...this liquidity was expanded exponentially over the following two decades and the result was the corporate auctioning of US jobs all over the world. Now the Banker's world is fat with cash (NYC) London etc. and the West's sheeple are asking WTF happened.....I have news for you sheep....ITs OVER.....this is a monumental STRUCTURAL disaster. gl

  14. Wealth in NY!!! HA...... Real Wealth for about .25% of the population. The rest living on JIT paychecks, Government Checks, Credit Cards or losing it all. Live here and the Politicians, Unions, Special Interest's Wall Street Thugs and the dumb a$$ sheeple have just ruined our State! If you drive through Upstate New York , beautiful country but for the most part poverty every where you turn! Very little manufacturing or agriculture anymore. Its sad........

its the reality though. my wife has been trying to get a part time job for 2 months now. she has applied to target, lowes, giant, weiss market, redners, boscovs, home depot, bed/bath beyond, wawa, arbies, other places and yes MacDonalds, and the results were NOTHING, not even an email to say no thank you. its so humiliating for her. she offered to work nights and weekends, and she still cant get a job. one last thing, when you fill out the question aire for these jobs and if you get an in person interview, they ask alot of stupid questions, its like they are trying to hire a rocket scientist. its crazy, its a minimum wage job and they treat the hiring process like you are going to be making 100k a year.

  19. Kli - your best writing ever, in my opinion. So true and so sad and so unavoidable now the crash, if not in the markets then for society.

I have come to call the whole delusional schizoid image that "they" present to us "The Truman Show". Finally, my upscale neighborhood has crumbled into knee high grass in many yards, many abandonded houses, sale signs everywhere, several of the Dad's have lost their $350K+/yr jobs and couples who you would never expect have dissolved into divorce proceedings.

In Spain, things are very bad. Yet, the IBEX35 is about to make new highs, surging higher everyday.

  20. Rude,
Sorry to hear man, but know your pain! Wife got the boot last Summer due to downsizing and was making nice bank, finally landed a job last week. Making half but with the #2 hitting college next year.......... Agreed gotta take what you can! (College Costs, well never mind, a rant for another day) The whole process really wears you down!!!! Fwiw networking via family and friends that are working and letting them know your looking seems more successful for finding new employment than the fill out 1000 applications and wait process........

  21. The end of the Grand Supercycle will be a breathtaking change for the overstuffed ticks on the back of nature. She will shed them like the fat parasites they are. Unfortunately tens of millions of hardworking people are going to have a "come to Jesus" moment too. Maybe next time they will question invading countries to "protect us from terrorism" and torturing people without trials...etc....our day of reckoning like all evil corrupt empires is coming

  32. hey rude - sorry to hear. Reality is there are some rocket scientists she is competing with. Very weird job market, reset was hit a year or so ago. High paying jobs have those folks getting dumped, filled with either offshore or grads at a much cheaper price. So the employment numbers (given the weird manner in which they are kept) are getting better, its just a matter of who.

I swear I have to stop reading Kli's posts and the blog some days, very depressing. ;-)

  33. I grew up in a wealthy suburb of Detroit called Bloomfield Hills. Loved it, but realized I could never afford to move back. Way too expensive. I visited there last fall. Many empty houses. Sad. Now I would not want to live there.

On other news, it seems that PUDA (a frozen stock) has a buyout offer. If it happens, shorts are trapped. Yahoo LLEN posters think it will give LLEN a huge boost.

  35. homer,

yeah, a very weird job market. its defineatly not good for people 40 and older. the recession helped companies unload expenses "people" in droves to cut costs. you are right, the recession made it very easy to dump people that had higher salaries and now replace them with cheaper salaries. as Kli has stated , oil prices are a stick of dynamite that is not good for a happy recovery. i am very interested how far they are going to let oil run.
