WARREN WARREN... DID YOU FIB??

Tell me it ain't so. Tell me the Oracle of Omaha, Purveyor of Truth, isn't a lying scumbag. I believed him in early 2008 when he told me after Bear Sterns went under that the market was the greatest place in the world to invest. I believed him when he told me time and time again that our banks were the best in the world. I believed Warren when he came in right as the market was tanking into oblivion one half hour before the close and announced he was investing in Goldman Sachs to the tune of 5 Billion of his precious Berkshire investor's money. I knew that he had decided to do this because it was a swell deal and that he knew their true value. After all this was Warren Buffett.

He wasn't some sinister, evil-eyed bankster with disconcerting twitches and push of speech. He looked you right in the eye and smiled and said ahh shucks. He drank Cokes and ate cheeseburgers. Those rumors about him keeping a girlfriend in an apartment in Omaha for years were cheap shots about his character. He was Warren Buffett the Oracle of Omaha. He lived in Middle America and drove interviewers around in his own car in town. Well.... it was Becky Quicky from CNBS but heck fire ....I know he wasn't givin' her the "evil" eye behind those glasses. He was Warren Buffett the Oracle of Omaha.

I knew that CNBS would bring him on during tough times because he was the most trustworthy man in the world to ask if everything was going to be OK. After all he was Warren Buffett the Richest Man in the WORLD and would never lie. His dad was a pharmacist just like a normal dad.

Mr. Buffett would even let reporters travel with him in his corporate jet when he went overseas. Well......only Becky Quicky....but that was good....it was access...to Mr. Buffett that is. Becky knew he admired her for her mind. He would never be a salacious dirty minded bastard. He was Warren Buffett....Oracle of Omaha.

OK that's enough of that. I wanna know what's this crap about this no good for nothin' Sokol guy. What kinda name is Sokol? Is that Russian? Is he a Socialist? I bet he is. Now he is claiming Mr. Buffett gave him a good ol fashioned reamin'. I'm not buyin' it. That's Mr. Buffett he's talkin' about and that Sokol guy is a banker and Mr. Buffett is an Oracle. Mr. Buffett doesn't lie and he doesn't leer. Well maybe at Becky but that's doesn't count. Who wouldn't? Even a cadaver like Warren is entitled to perk up with that!

You just wait. You'll see. Sokol will be sorry that he ever accused Mr. Buffet of trying to throw him under the bus.

Mr. Bernanke doesn't lie either and yesterday he told us we have eight more weeks of free money to fluff the casino for us. That means the trade on gold and silver is a green light special so rip the dips. Miners like SLW, GPL, EGO GFI are not overbought yet. Energy plays in HNR, WPRT LNG GPXR.....all still due for some more pump.

ANIK took a two day beatdown.....hmmmmm

ZLCS looks tough and the rest of the bios we play in the comments will be duly noted....biotechs are still the trade.

  1. Kli,

Are you considering buying sugar (SGG) here? What do you think is a good entry point?

  2. From Phil's Stock World

There is dollar chart there from David Fry showing the dollar falling thru 74. Next stop possibly 71.

They see little choice but to stay long the market due to the falling dollar.

  3. Carol I looked at SGG yesterday and didn't like the chart. Even with the dollar weakening it looks like a falling knife. maybe a nibble at 65 but it has to show me a turn before I step into it....

  11. I offer my heartfelt sympathy for the victims of those Tornadoes in the south..Those were some violent storms!

The Browns Ferry nuclear power plant in Alabama was expected to be shut for days, possibly weeks, as workers repaired damaged transmission lines.

Anybody have a good Nat. Gas play for this summer outside of UNG...something without the slippage? I have this weather kind of feeling that hurricane season is going to be mean...

oil and gas should play into that...

  19. "SPG is near all time high...amazing.." i never figured out SPG, i guess the commericial realestate market never affected them, haha. it is amazing. i dont get it. I traded SRS in the spring /summer of 2009 and got my ass handed to me, i think SPG was in the low 40's at the time. i will never trade SRS again, even if its with someone elses money.

  20. It's not just Google, Yahoo is having major mail problems as well...

  21. Rudemood, that makes 2 on SRS...its day will come but wow what a slipping disaster..

My take is to many pension funds were in reits and they all had to be propped up...I would hope they are out or getting out soon...thus when distribution is thru....that might be the time...

  22. simple question, with the fed speech over, is oil going higher? everyone seems to be on the dollar going lower, but how high can they take black gold, before they pull the plug on it. disclosure i own some DTO from a couple days ago. , and am considering dumping on this push to an almost break even point.

    ReplyDelete
  23. creditguy,

haha, we can only laugh. you may be right, i bet you are close. and by the way , i say i would never trade SRS again, but i own a small position in DTO, eveidentally i aint that bright sometimes.

  24. My google account is not working either. This is Rudy.

  25. My DTO from two days ago is finally positive. I am also in TMV (slightly underwater). I did jump into ZSL again.

I hope this is the turn for EUO. I am really underwater in that one. The dollar is TRYING to find a bottom. I hope soon.

  32. Closed out a GFRE position today.
    entered small DCTH

SLW is a concern. It is acting the same way it did for the last few weeks. Chart looks weak. Can it go up while silver is spiking, or will it be pounded to death with the miners? Don't really understand it.

doc, DCTH to 6? Was thinking of buying some more at this range, and of course having second thoughts now. The original albeit light entry was 8.60 I believe.

Wow - my post looks like pure gibberish after re-reading. Oh well...that's par for me after a cray day.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Homer,
I don't know if DCTH will go to 6, but there was support at 7 and that was lost today. If it cannot recover back above 7, it looks to me that it could fall all the way to 6.

I sold my DTCH months ago with a small profit, and I have been waiting to buy back in. Sometimes I wait too long though & miss an opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  44. thanx doc - as I said, didn't get too much so I may still add before we see those levels. Concern is why and I guess it's just a function of these types of stocks.
