NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THIS BAD

Now this is what is called a beatdown. Predictions abound tonight that the metals and miners have a lot further to fall. So it is understandable if your fear indicator is running high. Perhaps you feel like the Seventh Calary before Crazy Horse destroyed the fabled Custer and his regiment. It has become obvious to even the most non conspiratorial trader that something is deeply broken within the miner trade. Of course when we step back and look at the weekly charts in a couple of years you may find these ugly corrections appear as minor blips. Time will tell of course but my bet is on the blip. Enjoy the discount and hold some cash in case we get a monster washout day to trade. Go ahead and cruise some of the message boards on your favorites. Its as negative as I've seen. Charts later....gl

  3. The Keystone Speculator continues to write that a big spankdown in AAPL is coming. They believe AAPL is supporting the entire market.

    1. of course there will be a big spankdown in aapl....itsa joke......but the question is do you want to fight the trend......and as the shorts keep piling in on a bubble they keep providing the fuel for the rise.......

  4. for full disclosure I own and use most of the aapl products and love them.....are they over rated......YES....my new droid is amazing and aapl is without its whip master now and it will collapse.....say what you wish about Jobs but he was irreplaceable

  6. Long term, AAPL will continue to be great. I think Keystone is referring that a correction of perhaps several weeks needs to occur.

  7. long term aapl will NOT be great as a "stock"......as a company it will continue just as other tech companies that depend on dynamic innovation exist.....and that is not well in their case.....they collapsed when Jobs left in the 80s and will collapse again.....this will not happen overnite.......their common share price will be a more dramatic fall however......the droid I have puts my aapl phone to shame

  8. OK. I could have written a better response.

Certainly, a time will come where the "Law of large numbers" will come into play for AAPL. Future earnings will not be good enough to maintain growth. I am not sure when that will be. AAPL has suprised many.

  9. no disrespect at all intended or taken doc.....aapl is a great debate and example of a unique and monster tech story....just as MSFT was in the 90s.........and we know how that story ended...and CSCO etc......

  10. No offense taken.
I'm working, so I typed that quick initial response.
    It's lunchtime now.
I used to tease my father on my he didn't buy me 10,000 shares of MSFT went it came out as an IPO. My kids will probably say the same thing when the next superstar stock gets launched, and I fail to see it.

  11. BTW Doc...one of my partners loaded the boat and i mean loaded it on AAPL at all three of its major lows over the last 11 years........he held and held each time until he doubled or tripled his money each time......well anyway you know how it ended......he died suddenly last year and left his wife a fortune....he believed he would live to be a 100.......

  12. Just finished the Jobs biography. Amazing and I highly recommend it. I'm with you Kli, they may sail along for a while due to the legacy he left, but I don't think it lasts long term. He was a visionary workaholic, amazing what he accomplished, including Pixar and saving the music business. Really wish we hadn't lost him as he was interested in using technology to rewrite our educational paradigm, although Gates and Kahn Academy are also working on it. But there just isn't another Jobs. :(.

  13. Hey all,

Hope everyone it well..I've been busy at work, hardly anytime to comment except when I work from home. Our company is the leading SaaS for the automotive industry. Are technology allows us to push from a galaxy or Ipad into old dos based dealer management systems. The galaxy is nice as you can take pics, record or create video while inspecting a vehicle. Ipad 3 will do the same but at a higher cost, a little larger screen but not as easy to carry around in your back pocket. It will be interesting to see if the new Ipad sells as briskly now..Ipad 2 will suffice for most casual users.

The thing is mobile is the Pc of the today and future. Young kids will not have work stations at home and laptops will begin downtrend also. We are a wired world..

AIXG made a nice run..I've been watching a couple bio's closely, DCTH at 2.94 would be great as it's the 61% fib on recent move..but its a buy right now...they are starting to see revenue from europe.

    Still buying OSIR on pullbacks.

NG is close to making a move and 2.23 is stop....if it drops below then short it..

Vix sell signal confirmed today, usually nice down move within a week. Yet these are crazy days...

good luck in trading and cheers to all

  14. AAPL is down about 1% with the Nasdaq down about 0.15%. If AAPL cannot recover, perhaps down we go.
