WE WANT AUSTERITY NOW!

Do you think that's what these Spaniards are shouting? They demand it just like you do, and just like the Tea Party and fiscal conservatives do. That's right WE WANT AUSTERITY and we want it NOW! Just as long as it applies to someone besides us individually. Oh sure you guys aren't like that. You will push that bus right over the cliff with yourself in it? Well maybe you think you can push the austerity bus off the cliff with everyone BUT yourself in it. Some of you may be in the public sector and getting ready or already receiving a nice pension with nice health benefits. Go ahead and demand that austerity. You aren't going to escape that chopping block with your fat pension. Or maybe you're a private sector pension and believe this escapes the ax of austerity. Sorry....you are going to find that you too shall be crushed. Don't think so? Okay....why don't you check and see how your pension is funded by your corporation and tell me what a deflationary collapse in asset prices could do to it. Good luck. That's right we are going to need growth and with this imposition of "austerity" you can damn well guarantee that growth will be strangled. Oh sure I know, you have a job like a nurse or a doctor and you're bullet-proof because how can we do without those essential people. You may want to check under "Greek nurses and Doctors"..........we aren't far behind. When the SHTF there will be few sectors unaffected by this coming depression. CONfidence is a very fickle and very delicate balance that must be retained for the fiat experiment to be maintained. That is what gold is really about. IT IS NOT FIAT MONEY. It is real money. Panic, cry, whine..........whatever makes you feel better but we are headed into some really rough water. Careful what you wish for....you may get it in spades. This is ONLY the beginning and the fight to retain control of fiat will go on and the fight to control gold and silver will too. Its giving you time. Time is a precious commodity. Use your time and plan. The Spaniard above are not planning and did not plan. You still have time......use it. The ultimate trade is the miners and I'm sticking to it. The ultimate plan is physical possession of gold and silver. If you are lucky and can have land for a garden and water......then you just may be in a perfect position. I'm counting on us not getting kicked back into the Dark Ages so let's get through the coming chaos and get to the other side. gl

  1. This got a chuckle out of me this morning!

"That's right WE WANT AUSTERITY and we want it NOW! Just as long as it applies to someone besides us individually."

Applying this logic to ourselves (USSofA) and current events there's nothing to do but laugh and stock up on ALPO......

    2. When we've got people like Jerry Brown calling for cuts to welfare payments, you know austerity is just around the corner.

  5. Kli & Tom,

I completely agree with the posts above. Prepare, but prepare quietly.

Phil Davis writes today that countries are paying into the IMF to beef it up. China put in 43 billion last night for a present total in the IMF of 456 billion. More money is supposed to be ponied up by "the big guns" which I assume one of which is the USA. Still, he writes that a professor from the London School of Economics feels that the money will only pacify the markets for awhile. Then,...doom.

  6. Fed will announce extension of TWIST and accomodative/vigilante policy tomorrow.....and will sell the news ....don't know how metals will respond but any weakness should be bought if it stays above 1600

  8. Well I completely love this post! Almost everyone wants austerity as long as it is not them. You should hear my family go at it. Half of them work for the government and the other half have some type of private pension. THEY really think they are untouchable! I love to hear the debates they have amongst each other. Truly fascinating and sad at the same time!

I am just trying to get to the other side in one piece! It will be hard for EVERYONE! No one will escape it! All you can do is hope to survive it! Prepare Accordingly.......

Why is gold going down with so many of the pundits calling for QE3 this week?

  13. Why Cramer Likes US Stocks Now....Instead of concentrating solely on Europe's debt crisis, investors should have one eye on Europe and the other focused on opportunities in American stocks, said Jim Cramer on CNBC's "Mad Money."....

A sure sign that the market is about to crash. *chuckle*

  17. The Euro is very quietly surging today...

    EUR/USD (EURUSD=X) 1.2726 Up 0.0148(1.18%) 1:34PM EDT

    But Gold is going down...

    Gold 1,621.70 -5.30 -0.33%

I think the cabal is trying to fool us into thinking that Europe is saved. The message here on the day before Ben speaks is... "Currency is a better safe haven than gold."

    1. they don't want gold to show a big rally in front of the Fed announcement. So its possible they are planning on some very strong easing language tomorrow.....I think they need that. QE3 not going to be announced but if the accomadative language is very strong then metals may move. Like chuck said yesterday just watch the charts and the buying here. Many miners are over good support now

  18. I think we are in a optimism bubble today. There are tough problems all over...Syria, Egypt, Iran= Russia and oil. Europe complete break down. China slow down. India. I think the Fed shoots for equity altitude with an expansion of the balance sheet of some kind.
