ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

Collapse? Quite the statement, but does it really matter and can you even define it. A variety of definitions can define "collapse" in relation to the economy. A multitude of sins may ensue before the conclusion that "collapse" has occurred. A drought induced food inflation spike would trigger collapse. A breakout in all out Middle East war with Iran would trigger a collapse in an economy on a cliff. Of course the peeps attention would NOT be on the economy but on "the war". The peeps attention was focused virtually 24/7 on the tragic Colorado shooting this weekend.....NOT the economy. Strange times that we are witnessing as economic tensions become compressed. By now it has become obvious to most of us that care, the system is in tremendous jeopardy. How the "system" resets is the big question, but reset it will. Will a very powerful few maintain their control and the current direction or will there be a new direction and justice established? Julien Benda said that "we have a choice in life. We can serve privilege and power or we can serve justice and truth. And those of us who commit to serving justice and truth, the more we make concessions to those who serve privilege and power, the more we dilute the possibilities of justice and truth". Please take the one hour to watch and listen to the below video. If you want to try to understand what has happened to our society and some of the underlying struggles that we are undergoing then this will help you greatly. If you are curious what makes me tick then this is 100% what I see.

On the other hand if you find this objectionable material BEFORE you even listen to his analysis then I can only say you are part of the problem and deserve everything that you get. We may not be able to control what is coming but we can do something to control ourselves and how we perform in the upcoming day of reckoning........and there IS a day of reckoning coming.....one way or another....for ALL of us.

Thanks for the weekend report Matt.

I know that some of you are reading this blog to try and trade this treacherous market and some of you read this to just protect yourself and your family from what you feel is a mounting fear of a perceived threat from the financial ponzi that has been inflicted upon you and the world. Our system that has allowed us as a country to overindulge ourselves and use the dollar as the world's reserve currency,  is and will continue to go through some significant changes. I hope you are able to understand that your paradigms of managing your wealth and your family's future is going to be dramatically disrupted in the coming months and years. Many of you have no idea what a major depression will do to you and your future.

  2. Question for you guys. I have been putting $1300 a month into an online banking savings account where I get the typical 1% interest.. I am now rethinking this. I think I am going to continue to put $600 a month into the account and put $700 a month cash into a safe. Am i going about this wrong? Any suggestions? I have a small amount of physical silver, should I buy $600 more each month and keep the $700 cash? The $1300/month is purely for savings, not living expenses.

  3. the only thing that anyone should tell you ryan is to research this yourself. Precious metals should be an avenue for wealth preservation. Whether institutions such as banks maintain their status and your money is anyones guess. YOU have to do what is best for you.

  8. Thanks to Matt for the videos!

Ryan, I have been putting less into retirement each year and using that money instead to prepare.

Found this on Yahoo. If you scroll to the bottom, "expressing little confidence the presidential candidates can solve the nation's economic problems."

  12. Thank you Matt--always amazed at what great information is here. Also thanks for the Christopher Hedges video. Remember the discussions of financial PTB as repugnant in '08 when first posting at skf board. Look what Harvard has done to us! Great articulation of why humanities should be taught and why they aren't...no critical thinking allowed, lol. PMs on the rebound at least for now.

  18. Great work Matt! Gold in India report said they view it culturally as store of wealth like we do housing...that made me nervous! Wedding season coming up and it is pretigious for brides to have as much gold jewelry as possible to afford. Bride they showed had $200,000 worth! and she didn't even look happy, lol.

  19. Forgot whether I posted--know young HR lady at BAC here, they're having another round of cuts coming soon too. I think it will be after the DNC (Sept. 2-6) tho. Unemployment in both N.C. & S.C. is officially 9.4%, evidence of poverty really taking hold.

  22. Think your right kli I was at Whole Foods today and prices on some produce and meats have jumped in price @ Whole Foods (or as I call Whole Foods Whole Paycheck) might be a good short here. Also was stocking up on rice at COSTCO and they were out of the long grain brown rice. Whole pallet gone! We have a lot of rice stored up but was going to get a little more. I have been looking at the new weather computer models especially the American model the GFS it's showing a good rain coming in Wednesday night and Thursday wide spread 1 to 2 inch rains for Iowa and surrounding States. That is going to be way to late for the corn. Beans??? Not sure yet. I guess the markets think we will save at least some bean crop as beans fell 60 cents a bushel today. Of course it has to rain. Of course the weather computer models have to be right on the rainfall guess will see. Today it was 106 here with a strong south breeze. This heat is really drying the crops out fast and the crops have see a great deal of die off this last few days. Have been hearing on the local radio that we are now importing grain into the US for the first time mainly for feed, the source of the grain coming in was from Brazil. The corn has rooted to about five feet deep and has pulled all of the sub soil moisture out of the ground. That "WILL" need to be put back in by good rains and before the spring planting season. Kli has said it again and again. A person needs to have food and water stored up have cash on hand and have your mind, soul, and spirit ready for the years to come..

    1. Too late for corn in virtually all cases is what I read from you Matt.....also beans could also be at risk......a good bean harvest would go a long way at alleviating some of the risk to livestock feed and our own protein......I just don't see a good bean harvest in the works since the rain would have to very widespread and significant quantities....even then it could be too late in many areas .....I put more stock in what you are seeing and hearing on the ground so keep us posted Matt.
