CONTROLFIDENCE

Its time to create a new word for the net. It seems we need this word to describe just what seems to be occurring almost daily on the world wide stage. Its the entire game now. Without CONfidence, control of the politics and economy become lost. There must be CONfidence in the system and in the fiat of the system for the public to plan for their economic future. An elaborate plan has been implemented to try and restore/maintain this controlfidence. Control and confidence must go hand in hand for the game to continue. That is why the talking heads are repetitive and used like chess pieces to influence the market and its participants (us). Secondarily there are a variety of messages that are used in a variety of subliminal ways to distribute the waves of information bombarding the rest of the public. It works......its scientifically and time proven. Many of these methods are just simple conditioned stimuli, but many are more insidious. Either way its all necessary for CONtrolfidence. Its not an accident that someone like Joe Kiernan can keep his job on CNBS. He is ill suited for that position but he was able to replace a solid veteran like Mark Haines...or to step over a solid intellectual business reporter like David Faber for the coveted morning anchor spot. Joe is chosen for a reason.......he reacts as anticipated and he takes "direction" well.

You either get it or you don't. It really is not important in some ways, but there is a reason I bring this up again.  To understand controlfidence is to understand WHY gold and silver behave so erratically in shorter term trading timelines and are beaten down in Globex thinly traded periods. One needs to recognize the game. Its all about controlfidence. Maintaining control of the headline price of metals is vital to the fiat confidence. They are inextricably linked. When you get excited about moves in the metals only to be crushed in some thinly traded after hours move on "no news" then you have at least a slight edge on some of the herd. The ultimate pressure on this game is coming from the accumulation and POSSESSION of actual physical gold and silver. None of this will end well for us but hopefully some of us will get through this with less impact than those that are unaware.A day of reckoning is fast approaching....perhaps much sooner than many of us expect it to. Be patient and control your emotions. If nothing else, maybe, just maybe we will have stories to tell our families and friends how we traded the greatest casino ever.

  2. Morning,

I don’t know if “CONtrolfidence” is a Kli original or not but IT sure does SIMPLY sum up everything they are throwing at us. (It would look cool on a Tee Shirt)

There is rarely a stitch of truth to anything presented as News in the MSM, financial or otherwise. The garbage and lies they pass off as News is insulting to the intelligence. Goog, IBM & AAPL all takes damaging kicks to the head and yet the Market still levitates. Our elected officials and challengers’ LIE straight in to the camera expecting said LIES to be held as truth and sadly 50 to 60 percent of the population is so ignorant they are. What’s passed off as TV entertainment these days and keeps the masses distracted falls right in with your description. False flags abound, again to distract, obscure and distort............

“CONtrolfidence” that’s it, that’s the ticket!!!

  3. Here is a quit link the Northeast Blackout on 2003. It was a nice sunny day and I was just finishing up work when the power just went out. What I thought was kind of funny was that almost immediately, the MSM was announcing that it was not due to terrorism. The news reports would say--we have absolutely no idea what has caused the blackout, but it is definitely not terrorism.
I would think to myself, if they have no idea why it has happened, how could they so quickly conclude that it was not terrorism?

I realized that this is a bit off topic.

  4. The fact that the market isn't down at least 300 points right now shows you all you need to know. A TOTAL SCAM CASINO :) I'm grateful to have made money on a super small bet on weekly SLV puts this morning, I was sweating that overnight.

    1. Hubz, why are you sweating small bets? Are your small bets considered large to other people? the market has some trading opportunities at least or more than 30 times a year...

    2. It's just the gambler in me, stupid I know :) Sweating might have been a strong word but it was one of those trades you put on and immediately don't feel good about. Funny thing is those are the ones I usually end up doing well on hah, go figure. Sold on the initial drop this morning, looks like I should've held, cest la vie.

  6. Why are they emphasizing the 87 crash so much right now in many mediums...

    ReplyDelete
  7. purely coincidental chuck...sarcasm off.....anyway THERE IS A REASON! They would never inject such a negative event into the media without a purpose......maybe they just want to suck in some shorts or protection buyers.....

  9. Kli, this is one of your most brilliant commentaries. Controlfidence...the problem they are having is that due to the internet, more & more peeps are aware, certainly more than 5 yrs. ago. They really don't have to go back to 1987 as we all know! How about 2008/09? What beasts they are...just watching. Great trader I know with nerves of steel just made big bets on entr and lf fwiw. GL everyone.

  12. Did as you suggested ;) When do the Tee Shirts go on sale! Heheeee

No shorting for me.......... this whole thing stinks of Meat Grinder even though fundamentals scream go all in on the short side but they aint grinding me up!

    1. doesn't do any good to short when they mm's control shorting instruments and now control volatility....

    2. Yes they grind it down so slow that unless you pick the day before with options at least it's rarely worth the trouble to mess with timing silver. Extremely tough! I do think we see $30 or lower soon, just makes sense. But then the next leg up should start.

  13. This was beautifully done by the boyz for Opex. We all kept wondering why the market wasn't falling so not many bears had the balls to jump on for the ride with opex options due to the bizarre strength. They kept the illusion on until mid morning when it would seem extremely stupid to be in expiring puts then they drop the trap door. Gotta hand it to them ;)

  14. these are my thoughts .....if a large silver or gold drop were to come my thoughts were they would have used the descending triangle formation to crash it....so just be aware they may just "threaten" you....if they crash it into the 20s range then load up on physical

    1. The price will be a gift but the question is will physical with a reasonable premium be available. The ultrasonic thickness gauge works on silver also, along with a ruler or vernier caliper, digital scale, ultrasonic gel.

The GOOG prelease ended the orderly insider distribution of shares. Always thought earnings should be randomly released during the trading day to give everybody a fair chance to react to the news, but everything is traded these days like paper PM, in thinly traded hours and through the use of derivatives during those hours.

Time is running out, doesn't matter who wins. Just a question of if they can forestall the the fireworks until after.

  15. Hmmm miners seem strong in the face of this move. Cup and Handle looks like it should be just about formed here as well, would like to see that gap just below today's low hit to close it though but close enough maybe? Honestly hoping for one more hard jerk down then time to buy buy buy... stick with Cramer ;)

how much longer can they keep this up... with out huge layoffs?

at the food stores the bag of chips are the same size but
only half full for the same price.

t-bones and ribeye have gone up x2 in price in 60 days

the price of gas for the car is moving up.

remember what Catherine Austin Fitts said..

    inflation expectations are low (Bernanke)
as long as unemployment is high (Fitts)

    this is a dog & pony show....LOL

if Bernanke tries to fight inflation with
the rise in rates,,,,it is game over
    Bernanke has boxed himself in.

Catherine Austin Fitts said the FED was a place where MBS go to die

what is the FED up to?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I've been railing on this since the fed opened up avenue for banks, hedgies, mms, reits become landlords...this is a greatest of robberies, create the mispriced risk, then blow it up betting against it while then getting the scraps for pennies on the dollar so the govt. can price fix homes...The very people that created the bubble are now buying homes for pennies..while people roam homeless....

its a wonderful life...I have a feeling the end of this movie will not be happy ringing bells where angels earn their wings..

  36. Welp Paladin, the FED is buying more MBS from big banks. Now say this fifty times. In your mind visualize the same house. Maybe even a pretty blue house..with some trees and a swing set. Sadly this home was packaged securitized more than once. Sold once to Calpers, again to Calsters, heck we got fiddy states.

So back in the day our little blue house with a swing set in da back worth maybe $100,000.00 generated as much as $5,000,000.00 in cash for said bank.

Say what? yup maybe as much as 50 times. So what says the bank. we bought a bunch of oil and bid that up and doubled the money to $10,000,000.00. we lent out a shit load at 20- to 30% interest rate credit cards....to anybody evne my dog spot.

We had a good time. The parties were great. The bonus was well...decadent if I must say.

Funny thing however, people forgot to pay en masse. We could not tell anybody but we could not make the coupon payment on those bonds..and that oil ..darn if it did not sit in tankers we leased for a long time.

all in all we lost our ass.

Oh well, all those years of provide hookers and booze in DC..I mean thank-fully the FED...cough cough..the people are kind enough and smart enough to allow all that nonsense to go to the FED and DIE.

We, us fraudsters, I mean bankers have a new con, I mean a new plan. Even as the fed pays us again the 50 times the litle blue house with a swing set on the side that is worth $100k we will take the $5 million. Cause darn it we are smart and we are owed this...Still we will not payoff all those funds..Heck cause of MERS they have no idea what they own. We will again have parties, hookers, booze, make those coupon payments, traise the price of fuel, and do what ever else we dam fucking well please.

    hehehe.
