SELECTIVE HISTORY

To the conquerors go the history. To the brave go eternity. Where have all our heroes gone? As hype clashes with truth our heroes become the casualties today on a seemingly daily basis. A symptom of our overall corruption that is so pervasive in all aspects of our society.  Maybe we  will have a chance someday to have real heroes to look up to other than the the faux heroes like Lance Armstrong and the seemingly unending number of faux athletes using every chemical imaginable to gain an edge in the corrupted world of sports. Parents are even encouraging their high school children to dope. How many Generals today could rival the sacrifice that Smedley Butler made. He suffered attacks on his character and ridicule when he took on the elite after his distinguished career. He was ERASED from the history books. Here was a Major General in the Marines with TWO Congressional Medals of Honor that was virtually unknown to all marines within one decade of his retirement. A retired marine friend of mine that fought on Iwo Jima, who by the way taught history later in his life.......NEVER HEARD OF HIM until I introduced him to Smedley Butler on line a couple of years ago. He was stunned. Just in case you want to read more about him here is a link.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smedley_Butler

The reason I brought ol Smedley up was just to show you the game you are in. We are not going to have instant gratification, but instead we are going to have to realize that this is a game of patience and control of emotions. Emotions of elation....fear.....greed......all used to control the game......and YOU. We are human and our responses to the game are predictable. Just as the vilification and ridicule of Butler was predictable. Butler knew it would come, but he came out against the bankers with both barrels blazing. We'll all be gone one day.......Nature makes no special allowance for bankers or for us......gl with the game.

  2. Can't blame the Bernake his life's work blew the f up! I Expect some covert military action before the election. If this goes well we will all hear about it.

  3. Market should remain in a downward trend with a few short squeezes to keep you honest.... coupled with polls showing Romney "winning" until the election......Obama will be elected....and THEN you get your chance...expect a blow off market rally after O's win.....maybe it lasts a day or two but then they begin to take it down...should be interesting

  4. Bernanke's present term will last to 1/31/2014. If Romney wins, could he replace Bernanke prior to 2014? I would think Bernanke would still finish his term regardless who wins.
Note: I too believe Obama will win.

    1. Bernanke will do whatever the real power tells him to do.....just as Romney will do and just as O does......the real power is in the shadows and ALWAYS has been.....Ben is already taken care of and after he leaves he may do whatever he wishes.......including returning to Princeton

    2. my only point is think in terms of what benefits the real power in terms of the overall control and geopolitical maneuvering....

    3. for instance.....WHY would they want to change quarterbacks in the middle of the game? I don't see any benefit to them since O has been masterful at carrying out their agenda while portraying himself as "for the little guy"....and against "the big banks" (which by his ACTIONS he is not) Have any of the big banks or big bankers been prosecuted or even broken up......of course not.....Have the military actions in the middle east decrease? Overall they have increased into over ten countries now......

    4. Assuming Obama wins, might he change his ways given that he has nothing to lose? He won't necessarily need Wall Street any more and if his background is any indication, he really doesn't like those guys.

Just as he commented to Putin about having more latitude after the election, he may act differently in a second term.

I personally think Romney will win because, even though he's a different quarterback, they can more comfortably trust him and he can carry out whatever the plan is just the same.

  5. Kli,

Cant agree with you more regarding "O", "Mittens" and where the real power resides but I dont see him winning, O is no longer credible he cant even spin a convincing lie anymore and the Media is having a real hard time protecting him. Actually they are beginning to turn on him. IMO he has become a liability not an asset, as you have always said CONfidence is key and the lies and spin are no longer working.... Changing the QB at half time when your behind is not as far fetched as you might think.... Just my opinion for what its worth.

  6. I think Obama wins...No one wants Mitt except millionaires...That guy is more looney than a rooster without hens...

that being said..it was much more fun watching the cards-giants game 7...what happened in the debate? I'm tired of 2 bit carny shows where both candidates try to sell you hopium..I would rather get sold at an auto dealership and walk away...then listen to those 2..

  7. Please bring on November 7th so I do not have to hear election crap 24/7 anymore. We can go back to our regularly scheduled distractions!

  8. Tom, just curious,...do you see any local campaigning for President where you live? Other than the national news, there is nothing for President here in WNY. No Obama or Romney signs on people's lawns, no bumper stickers, no mailings, etc.
Just ads for local races on TV.

    1. I live in NY and see nothing on TV about the presidential election. Two weeks ago, I was in Wisconsin and every ad on TV was for one of the two assholes running for president. Also saw lawn signs everywhere between Milwaukee and Madison. Last weekend, I was in Nevada and again, every TV ad was political.

  9. Kinda nice living in Oklahoma, none of that garbage here. It's basically a lock that the Republican carries this state haha ;) What I love is the hypocrisy of the Southern Baptists who wield a lot of power around here etc supporting a Mormon when before Mormons's were considered cultists. I'm not trying to knock what anyone believes here at all, just pointing out the hypocrisy. I was raised Southern Baptist myself so I guess that is why it sticks out like a sore thumb to me :)

  10. Doc,

In comparison to 2008 election hardly anything at the local level for this election cycle. What was striking in 2008 where I live there were O lawn signs every where. I live in a true Republican Stronghold, not that matters they are just the same sack of lying weasels..... However I so see a few Mitten's signs and No O signs. I think the traditional local ground game is now played out on facebook and twitter and those farking annoying Robo Calls!

  11. Hubz,

Yup gotta love the bible thumpers but when you get right down to it the world of full of Hypocrites, Liers and Theives.......

Speaking of hypocrites, liers and theives, todays news on Bengazi is not helpful to the O......

    1. Too true, and most around here truly are very friendly and good hearted but very close minded when it comes to anything religious. Like I said I was raised Baptist, at this point I kinda consider myself almost agnostic. I just don't know and I'm not afraid to admit it. As i've grown older there was too much about organized religion that bothered me but that's a loooong story :) Similar to previously being a huge righty and now a Libertarian that can't agree with anyone haha! Maybe I just like to be a rebel ;) The only thing that really can get someone on my bad side is malicious intent. Mistakes and careless accidents happen all the time and are a part of life, no use in getting too wound up about them. End Ramble ;)

  14. Dumped my SLV NOV Calls at a loss. This price action sucks and I only make money on SLV calls when there is an EASY to see breakout. Hell I've made more buying puts lately on it but never feel right haha :) Swapping into IP calls for an earnings play. May be crying in the morning ;)

  15. I bring up the O prediction because I believe it illustrates a seemingly counterintuitive position.....based upon what the media and your eyes are telling you.....lets watch how it plays out.....O will not change after he is re elected "unless" he is ordered to....Many examples of Pols exist that tried to doublecross the bankers.......they seldom fair well.....especially in today's controlled environment...A few come to mind recently in the Middle East...Hitler was the last BIG Fish that double-crossed the bankers....O will NOT double-cross them

    1. Again look at his "actions".....the health care plan that you are told is "socialist" is a complete taxpayer give away to the bankers (health insurers).....YOU are paying private insurance premiums for those that cannot afford private insurance.....instead of reforming the graft, and inefficiencies of healthcare we are just throwing gasoline on it.....yet you are told its socialism.....Socialism is a one-payer government sponsored system.....that is NOT what you are paying for.

    2. socialism is medicare and medicaid......WHY in the world would you supplement the private insures with taxpayer money.....PURE GRAFT

  16. Yep, living in a swing state (N.C.) Not only did we host the DNC, the ads have been running non-stop since JULY! Can't wait for some relief. Voted on Mon. only for local reasons...all are spendthrifts anyway one slices it. They always enjoy spending our money, we have a new baseball stadium going up which the people voted down twice. FWIW, inthemoneystocks calling for 1670 on gold. Funny, spot rose immediately at mkt. close. Suing bac for mortgage fraud, but why did Mr. Raines walk away with $100 million? Hmmm. (I think I got it all in, lol).
