UPS EPIC XMAS FAIL???

Sure it was. I'm sure that many of you were aware of the headlines on all of the MSM outlets and business news of the UPS epic delivery failure due to the MASSIVE ORDERS that OVERWHELMED the delivery system and made "Christmas late" for the Billions of peeps. Think about what was in this meme. Massive LAST MINUTE sales overwhelmed UPS. I do believe I smell a conditioned rat game. We have reached such a low point in our ability to prop up the system that we have now resorted to the "late for X-mas" delivery story. Of course this makes perfect sense if you want to create a cover for "disappointing sales". Would this type of CONfidence building be necessary IF we weren't in a critical position? Just go back to the most recent "creative crisis"......the budget impasse that "shut down" the government. Really?? How many times have you heard the following disappointing 2nd quarter GDP numbers were due to the "shut down". It was repeated over and over until it was DRILLED into your pysche.  Relax we now have a CONfidence cover story for any retailer reporting disappointing earnings......ESPECIALLY the bellweather online retailers like Amazon.

Could this really be about a charade for just CONfidence? HOW do you think we can begin to form a meaningful response to the all important "velocity of money"? While you stuff cheeseburgers in your face and watch endless hours of football, the real game is behind closed doors trying to fight for the system that let's the west consume massive amounts of energy and commodities at bargain basement prices. That game is the real game the sheep will never be smart enough to watch.

Why in the world do you think we need a global army with 850 bases in over 150 countries? Do you REALLY think that is to keep the peeps in this country safe. No, its to enforce our currency. THE DOLLAR. Its always been about the dollar. If you don't believe in the stability of the dollar then you have NOTHING. You're just another third world debt, burdened country and you WILL have to start to pay your debt. If you have the enforcement of your will and currency then you can print and you can BUY your resources. This is where the East comes into play. If they can gain the upper hand over the dollar then we will begin to see a shift of many resource and labor rich countries shift to the East in a hurry. This is the struggle and this is the reason the East is accelerating their gold purchases. Its out in the open for even the public to see if they want to, but most won't. The smart money knows already. Just remember there's not gold backing the dollar but its still backed.

"Ya cain't stop what's comin'.....they ain't waitin' on you........that's vanity"..............No Country for Old Men

  1. Or maybe, it is what it is. There's a very simple explanation:

    http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/12/26/22058674-ups-fedex-scramble-to-deliver-delayed-christmas-packages?lite

A shorter holiday shopping season, an increase in online shopping, and shipment companies whose systems weren't ready to handle the additional demand. This is the new reality. I honestly don't remember the last time I went to a store to buy something, other than my weekly grocery shopping. I buy almost everything online now, as do most people I know.

It must really suck to live in a world where everything is a con, everything is a conspiracy, and everything is a lie. You gotta do better than this, Kli. This smells like desperation on your part, trying to invent bad news when there is none.

Hope you had a good Christmas and all your packages were delivered on time.

    1. Sure bud......thank goodness you haven't been a sucker your whole life.....hehehhehe.........btw bud this is such a massive, colossal failure that it lead all the MSM news stories tonight and was on every hour of CNBS today.....people are "outraged"....no one knows what to do in most cities and they are forming political action groups to deal with this incredible failure.....Many CONgressmen are drafting legislation to make sure Xmas isn't destroyed ever again. In fact bud......they may bring in the army or DHS to help next Xmas.......I know many people have told me how its ruined their Xmas......hehehehehehe.........as long as we have steady, common sense citizens like you that are professional analysts we will carry on in a manner that will surprise few........

    3. Bud there are ALWAYS failures to delivery in time at Xmas.....but this year it was EXTREME DUE TO THE MASSIVE VOLUME of everyone that ordered their gifts to be delivered at the last minute on line......so sure bud its just a convenient conspiracy that they began leading with this story TWO days ago and have been repeating it on EVERY mainstream outlet....and I'm sure will bring it up again and again because its is soooooo critical to hmmmm WHAT? WHY is it such a mega story now? You see bud......its really a Nothin' story.....whether true or not its really nothin'...... BUT some conspiratorial people that think JFK wasn't shot by a crazy lone gunman and the Gulf of Tonkin really didn't happen....and Smedley Butler was erased from the history books........think that strange divergences are created for a particular purpose and not necessarily random. Then again bud.........this is REALLY a huge news story and probably will have repercussions for weeks to come on Xmas sales statistics.......hehehhehehehe

    4. Assuming there was more than usual delayed deliveries - then the story should be about the potential for massive failure in JIT delivery systems not that a few Christmases were disrupted. Personally I don't Christmas shop until the after Christmas sales and always blame the Post Office for late delivery. Hehehe

  4. This is why you own Gold. In 1934 when gold was ordered confiscated by the Fed er...FDR..... my great grandfather had 5 gold coins he kept in a cookie jar and passed down to my grandfather. If he had accepted the one hundred dollar bill from the federal government then my grandfather would have enough money today in that cookie jar to buy a pair of Lucky jeans........instead he has five gold coins EVEN AT TODAY'S suppressed prices is worth with premiums 700 of those one hundred dollar bills..........it may not have been the very best investment back then......but it certainly was a very good one as a store of wealth

  5. John Hussman lacks some serious credibility. Have you seen how his funds (HSTRX and HSGFX) have performed over 1, 3, 5 year periods? And this is the guy whose been predicting a crash for 5 years and counting, and his bogus charts, along with others ends up at ZH a couple of times a month, and of course nothing happens.

ZH and KWN, dumb and dumber.

  7. Checking in from NYC suburbs...hope everyone had a lovely holiday.
FYI, one investment banker here just bought an apt. building in Westchester and another is looking at commercial property in LIC right over the 59th St. bridge from Manhattan. The latter being a GS mover...hmmm. Just sayin'. As long as the public is willing to backstop their oopsies, no problemo with the personal cash on hand. Cheers!

  9. I heard an amazing stat the other day on the radio...over one-third of all packages delivered were returned. This would explain the uptick in delivery traffic and reinforces the weak shopping season. I did some research to make sure this was true and found several articles about it, here's one of them...

  18. Hello All...

I hope CHRISTMAS was good for everyone!

Pretty much here everyday just would rather listen these days.

Still taking care of the wife on o2- 24/7 and in a wheel chair plus pallative consuling. Count your blessing if healthy. Thank GOD she has not lost her health insurance plan. This would be a death sentence.

I see a somewhat stronger "looking" economy but have not folks traded down..in large part? Lots of nice rental/lease cars on the road. I hold on to my property and I know 10 that has given up on theirs.

Rental housing and leased cars and social media is our economy. Another bubble ever notice how every little mall has a sprint, att, pcs, verizon shop? How can this be?

I can understand those who beat their chest in victory and claim all is well as steriods and morphine mask the underlying issue. QE and propoganda steroids and morphine. So if one is ill one takes the meds it is better to be on this side of the grass....

Illness is insanity. Not that the person ill is insane..Simply illness is insanity. Our Country is ill and we live in insanity. Just like a very ill person looses things like mobility, self dependence, enjoyment. So too we do who live this mess.

I hope and pray the new year brings for all good fortune and good health.

    Sheeps out.

  23. Dow is up more than 5% five consecutive years now. A sixth such year has not happened before in history. A 5-year bull trend only occurred once before, in the 1990s, and was followed by 3 down years.

  24. My guess is that the present speculative advance may have a few percent to run – I’ll be particularly concerned if the market does so in a rapid, uncorrected manner in the next couple of weeks, which could suggest crash probabilities approaching 100% based on the sort of analysis above. Hussman for Bud.

  25. Solid confirmation from several sources this weekend confirms we never exited the collapse and have begun a new wave of pressure on the manipulated recovery stats as the consumer collapses further. They also confirmed the read on the UPS story above was correct. They had no input on what the Fed's next moves would be.

  26. "The world's oldest bank needs to tap investors for cash to pay back 4.1 billion euros in state aid it received earlier this year and avert nationalization after being hammered by the euro zone debt crisis and loss-making derivatives trades."

And Monte Paschi is not alone. Not by a long shot. Derivatives are ripping the guts out of the European financial Ponzi Scheme and the people of Europe better get their cash out NEXT WEEK or they may end up like those poor souls in Cyprus.

A few things to think about as Europeans try to shift their assets out of their banking system and into...????

    1) They will first look at physical gold but China has already sucked the exchanges dry.

    2) They will next look at Silver but the competition between Industrial Users and the lowly investor for any physical silver will turn into an intense bidding war.

    3) Bitcoin was a good option in Cyprus so the same may occur in the whole of Europe but I don't think it is possible. There are NOT enough (if any) willing sellers of Bitcoin left after the Banks scared large speculators away over the past few months...watch for more Bitcoin pricing drama in the very near future...January?!

    4) European derivative defaults will spread as each of the big European banks loaded down with toxic derivatives topple and default on their half of the toxic transactions.

    5) When Europe goes it won't take long for the disease to spread to other financial systems...EVERYWHERE!

Be ready for blood in the streets as the Banksters try to eat their own in order to survive.

May the Road you choose be the Right Road.
