GOLF AND BICYCLE CRASHES AND SUCH

What can you say? While Rome burns, we seem to go more insane. Great job numbers to celebrate Friday as 94 million working age Americans remain out of work. American people are  now referred to as "consumers". Hilsenrath chastises their lack of spending during the recovery in the Wall Street Journal. An ugly uprising to Hilsenrath's article arises in the comments regarding his article.

The 90% is beginning to realize the "recovery" is not going to be coming their way. The celebration of the "Jobs report" on CNBS is chaotic somewhere between a funeral and a birthday.  Even Joe Kiernen's smirks seem confused.  A "bicycle" crash immobilizes John Kerry while in Europe. The President plays golf. Life appears normal as 94 million working age Americans disappear from the news. Hilsenrath laughs.

A new wave of technology sweeps CNBS news Friday.....drones. Even the CNBS reporter demonstrates his own personal drone. A surge of  "optimism" gradually builds as the news day develops. Surely the drones can salvage the recovery. No "New Deal" in this recovery necessary. The 94 million will be lifted by drones. Even Art Cashin's  "700 million to sell" at the close is quickly covered and Bill Griffeth throws a kiss to the floor and rings the closing bell. It was another day into the "recovery".

Things seemed hollow. Money was still being printed, but interest rates couldn't be raised even 0.25% or the "recovery" could be jeopardized. Why? We have all these jobs. I guess the part time bartenders, waiters, and barristas just don't really count. At least a Picasso went for $100 million and over 100 million people are on government food assistance now. How can that be? We can't give our old people and savers 0.25% interest on their money but someone can spend a 100 million on a painting?

Capital controls now being implemented in various forms in Greece, Argentina, and even America, but we're in a recovery so why? I don't understand. Why is confidence so important for our recovery? CNBS talks constantly about it. I have a lot of paper in my wallet that is backed by it but I can't break a Benjamin at Starbucks anymore. How do I get change? I wonder if their tips are down with fewer George Washington's in my wallet. Capital controls are strange to me.

I went home to my gated community and all was well. All is well and life is good for me. I don't care.  gl

  1. Is that the home with the 200K HELOC that gets reset soon? You knew this day was coming yet you let it ride and just paid the interest. Now it is RESET time and you have to start paying the principal. That means an extra $2000 a month. Yep, there are lots and lots of people in the same situation.

Throw in student loans and sub-prime auto loans and the debt bubble is bigger and better than the housing bubble in 2008-2009. But, all is well.

Skippy doesn't have that problem. He rents a trailer (no HELOC). Couldn't score high enuff on his SAT to get in to a college. And you don't need a sub-prime to get a cardboard TELSA. All is well.

  2. People bought homes with $200k HELOCs that are about to reset soon? Do you have any stats or evidence to back up your statements? Is there a place we can go to see the percentage of fixed rate mortgages, interest only mortgages, HELOCs, etc? Or did you just pick that number out of your dumb ass you worthless old fool?

You want me to do your Googling for you? Get real, Google for yourself, I point out a fact that lots of HELOCs are starting to hit that 10 year reset time and now have to be paid back and many people have ignored this fact of life and are unprepared to do so.... All is good if you are Skippy.

the Heloc situation has been mostly cleared out, minimal impact with home prices above 2007, most people have refinanced that didn't lose home since 05-06....I have enough contacts in the MBS arena to make statement...

Solar is now cheap...and in fact you can pretty much install it yourself with the converters they have today...

    10. Why do people make statements that prove they did no research? A snippet about the HELOC situation:

According to federal financial regulators, about $30 billion in home equity lines dating to 2004 are due for resets next year, $53 billion the following year and a staggering $111 billion in 2018. Amy Crews Cutts, chief economist for Equifax, one of the three national credit bureaus, calls this a looming “wave of disaster” because large numbers of borrowers will be unable to handle the higher payments. This will force banks to foreclose, refinance the borrower or modify their loans.

But refinancings often will not be possible, Cutts says, because the homeowners won’t qualify under the tougher mortgage rules taking effect in January or because the combined first and second mortgages may exceed the value of the house. Complicating matters further, interest rates are likely to rise from their current low levels as the Federal Reserve tapers its purchases of Treasury and mortgage-backed securities. Higher base rates would make the payment shocks even worse. In addition, according to Cutts, many of the owners with high-balance credit lines already have low credit scores — legacies of the housing bust and recession — and have an elevated statistical.

Honest you know better than to shoot from the LIP!!!

      Delete
    11. I'm not shooting from the lip, most owners have refi'd out of the heloc at low rates already and Many are right back into variable products to easily mask the ugly DTI and PTI's....alas the honestcreditguy doesn't need to quote old news when his contacts still play in that arena...

I suppose there are fewer readers of these signals now because any ponzi is designed to lull its participants into a state of stupor. It may be a few weeks or a few months but its indicative of a major correction coming along with several major developments in plain view. It doesn't matter what you say at this point. 10. Honest,

No way cheap on a whole house system.... 30k to 70k depending on system with out gov cheese and leasing arrangements its out of reach for 99%. It is not a DYI project unless your rigging up a shed, for a whole house system you need to know your chit, plus if you're gonna hook into the grid to sell back unneeded energy to the utilities they ain't gonna let you DYI..... fwiw I know my way round electric and I would need help with a whole house install... Sorry you may be a seasoned trader but I'll hold my own with you at least on this topic :)

      Anyway.....

      http://www.hgtv.com/remodel/mechanical-systems/the-true-cost-of-solar-power

"For example, a home in Los Angeles with a roof size of 1,352 square feet that uses 1,954 KWh/month will probably need a 13.53 kwh solar power system. Before factoring in available credits/incentives, the system will cost $94,688."

Sorry Charlie, whole house applications are far beyond the 99%, the example is costs out by you before gov cheese and other incentives and from a reasonable source.... No way a DIY project... If you're talking small off grid applications then maybe a DIY depending on complexity sure... however most folks couldn't run a 110/15a circuit let alone install solar panals and tie in a solar system inverter into a 220amp service and live to tell about it... hehehehehe

Solar is another creative industry to create jobs on the way to what will be a game changer..maybe hydrogen fusion. ..black light power. The technology already exists to give us all clean free...really cheap energy for houses and cars.

We just can't take the truth.

      Zen What.

    6. If Solar wasn't heavily subsidized, you're right not many would be sold.... At least the whole house systems....

      Delete
    7. Tom, no expert on alternative systems for heating/cooling or electrical for lights/refrigeration, hot water, etc. But, it is more complex than just installing panels, batteries and inverters.

To begin with you need to reduce your electricity demand where possible for things like hot water(on demand system). Passive heating and cooling. Did you know about 6-7 foot underground you have a constant temperature of around 70 degrees F. This suggests a passive heating/cooling system (electric fan and an exchange unit).

Wind may also provide power off hours reducing the number of batteries required to bridge low solar productive hours. My brother who is an electrician replaced his grid needs using some passive techniques and solar for under $20k . Now it is true he did most of the installation himself, but he figured his payback (electric bills) was about 7 years. Heated square foot around 2300 square ft.

    8. So assuming your is licenced and has all the corresponding overhead, if he did the install for a customer this labor would have been approx double the material and I assume he lives down by you, up here add 25% to time & material.... I never said it couldn't be done, just need to know your chit as was the case woth your brother when playing/installing it and your not gonna get that knowledge from YouTube... and if your gonna share with the existing grid the licensing/overhead costs for installers is huge....

    11. Actually I think you are all on the same page. My system is 90K and thats without STORAGE (all excess is taken by Ameren) BUT BUT. with the "cheese" from Ameren/Tax credits its actual cost to me is 21K. Pay back is 3.2 years. As far as cheaper systems depends on install/ battery storage/ panels/ and Kilowatt hour total system. As far as the original Anon that Chuck took exception to the ANONs point was that the Musk system is overpriced for what it will do and my bet is he is right BUT it may be great for back up storage in a grid down situation for many small Kilowatt back up systems for people with the bucks......

    13. I am in the wrong line of work...

pay back of 21 k in 3 years? You are producing 500 dollars a month above what it costs you to run your house? Really.

Of course it depends on the size or your array and where you live. I think we are talking about a 1400 Sq ft house. At best 700 Sq ft of solar. At best 14 panels.

Even at 1000 each and the inverter which is a simple device that in this case no more than 3000. Install 160 hours max or 16,000 all of the is greatly exaggerated then double it for overhead and profit ....40 k max. Still takes a long time to pay back.

Watts divided by volts equals amps.

  14. A prudent investor would've loaded up on gold, silver and miners 7 years ago, while completely staying out of the stock market. That's the Kliguy methodology to unheard of riches and prosperity. I mean look at the numbers. Anyone who invested in AMZN, TSLA, NFLX, and the broader stock market since 2009 would be bankrupt right now.

On the other hand, if you listened to Kliguy liquidating your retirement accounts, backed up the truck and bought silver at $50 and gold at $1900, and bought miners, and shorted the stock market, you could probably buy your own island right now, that's how rich you would be. A genius like Kliguy and his esteemed market gurus with hundreds of years of stock market experience are here to lead the way and make sure you make it to the "other side" when "nature calls".

      Clarke's Commentary on Revelation 6:8
A pale horse - The symbol of death. Pallida mors, pale death, was a very usual poetic epithet; of this symbol there can be no doubt, because it is immediately said, His name that sat on him was Death.

And hell followed with him - The grave, or state of the dead, received the slain. This is a very elegant prosopopaeia, or personification.

Over the fourth part of the earth - One fourth of mankind was to feel the desolating effects of this seal.

To kill with sword - War; with hunger - Famine; with death - Pestilence; and with the beasts of the earth - lions, tigers, hyenas, etc., which would multiply in consequence of the devastations
