ITS BROKEN

Add cnaption
Bloomberg just spent the morning segment debating why the Fed is still front and center in the daily "market".  Even a chief propagandist for the Fed is discussing WHY every word from the Fed is still the guiding light for the "market".  You really mean "Faux Market". Why slice and dice words from the Fed anymore? Its truly ludicrous to pretend this is anything other than a mirage. They've broken it completely. They've openly destroyed the "quaint notion" of SAVINGS. They've taken the strongest hands that normally step in and repair an over leveraged, malinvested, cycle and tied a concrete block to them and pushed them overboard with ZIRP.  Now we've propped up the companies that the strong hands should have stepped into and instead propped these zombies up with our children's "dollars" and promises.

They just didn't want to pull back the curtain all the way this time because they thought you just wouldn't like to see what the wizard really does look like. They pulled it back quite a way by September 2008 but the pitchforks and lampposts started to frighten them and it stopped with the decision to go "all in" on the printing press, even if it created UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES like destroying the Business Cycle and FREE MARKETS.

Print Trillions. Create a massive government subsidized underclass that is totally dependent on the Fed. CONtinue to prop up bloated Corporations with ZIRP and subsidies while crushing the ability for smaller, more agile new companies to gain higher interest rate loans to compete with the massive multinationals. Throw in even more regulations and you have the greatest marriage Fascism could ever have envisioned.  Normally capital would flow to other countries more financially strong in these circumstances but all Western countries are being ring-fenced into the Fed cartel or threatened with war. Watch the rest. Its not going to be pretty.

If you can't understand why I buy physical silver by now and how it and gold are so hated by these assclowns then you really need to read another blog and quit wasting your life here. People will say "what can I do". Well, every time you buy an ounce of silver you put another pin prick in their ass and with each pinprick a drop of blood comes out of this monster. gl

    2. They openly tell you they want you INTO RISK and OUT of SAVINGS. They do this openly and REPEATEDLY to CONdition you to believe it is appropriate. Its the old technocratic brainwashing mass technique of "Tell a big enough lie repeatedly and the sheep will believe it"......hey..it works! I've watched them do this for years and still am amazed how easily they accomplish it. Trump just might be a sign of a crack in it but I doubt it.......

  2. Jay, I have just sold 1/3 of my DGLD position for a $750 profit after today's drop in gold. I had mentioned my plans to hold it thru mid-Jan, but you have to be nimble and adjust on the fly. I had to take profits and as I mentioned to you, these small profits add up over time.

I may close my remaining position as gold gets closer to my $1030 target in a couple of weeks, or add to it if there's a sucker's rally. Silver is seeing a $13 handle right now and it's probably headed to single digits, we'll see. Yeah, keep buying metals and miners, a one way ticket to bankruptcy.

Tom, yeah, GREAT post by Kli, on another year of missed forecasts, horrible predictions, and imminent collapses that never happened. But Kli somehow managed to earn "30-70%" on his trades, right? I wonder how he did that. Do you think his banker and Wall St. buddies he talks to in the kitchen helped him out?

    Hehehehehe......

Tom, can you even tie your shoes without guidance and permission from Kli?

    Putz.

    Hehehehehe......

    1. Bud: Congrats on your profit. $750 is a decent chunk of change. You expect gold to reach $1030 in a couple weeks? It's at $1059 now. I doubt they take it to $1030 so quickly, but good luck.

I'm still playing the options game and not doing all that great ATM. But overall for the year, I've gained 50% on my trades, so I can't complain. :)

Looks like even the Fed can't pump this Pig of a Market green for the Year.......heheheheheheh.....maybe tomorrow they'll huff and they'll puff and they'll blow the pigs up jist enuff for a green finish......problem is butt....as stated by smarter guys than just me like Mannarino WE ARE IN A PRIMARY BEAR..... WE SHOULDA MADE HIGHER HIGHS BY NOW......we haven't......maybe they wanna just push this next year to a new high with an insane new printing binge....heheheheh.....I DARE THEM.....I DOUBLE DARE THEM....but they just might jump that shark.....better yet would be they raise interest rates another 25 bps in Jan.....I'd LOVE IT......it'd kill the miner trade and gold short term and you have no idea what I have saved for that moment......hehehehehe.....anyway savings may seem like an anachronism for most right now but NOT if you know what you really want to do with the cash......and it AINT buyin' FACEPLANT or GOOGLE or any other POS that you pumpers want the sheep into. Maybe they'll push GORO to 1 or RIC to 1.90.... I'd have to buy a lil paper for a toilet run

This is KLI at his finest. Good stuff.

Disclaimer: I'm one of the foolish savers that doesn't have a penny of debt. I've had my bank strongly suggest that I put my savings money into some sort of stock market vehicle. I asked them if there was any risk and they immediately said "Yes". I replied "No thanks." The Fed and banks have been desperately trying for the past several years to get Gen X, Gen Y and Millennials to go "all in" on the stock market.

I fully understand that the market is a casino. I literally approach investing the same way as I would walking up to a blackjack table in Vegas.

  5. Here's another lil tidbit for those stuck in the miner/gold trade that rings very hollow.... CNBS has been bashing gold relentlessly today and I just have to wonder since by nature I'm a very limited fellow......WHY is it that a major financial media service seems to have SO MANY segments on such a hated and under invested relic like GOLD. Why is it they just can't stop pulling in pundits to kick such a loser of an investment when its already beaten senseless? Why do they feel they have to constantly troll something that no one wants and isn't invested in? I just don't get it and I'm sure if I were as smart as buttfox I could understand this. Help me butt.....hep me hep me hep me....hehehehehheehheehehe.... Tell Jay again why he should never buy gold and if he should buy it, Then tell him to wait for WHAT price and When we will get said price? Thanks for your hep butt.

  6. KLI: The gold bashing on CNBC is relentless. They want the last few retails to empty their vaults and go long on equities.

The only time I turn on CNBC is when I need some comedy.

Jay, watch Nike. It's on my list. I'll let you know when I'm ready to buy. Time frame is 3-5 years. It's going to $90+ within 2-3 years.

Jay, like any 2-3x ETF, I never hold them for more than a few days at most. In the case of DGLD, I'm making an exception and will hold it for up to two weeks because I believe gold will be down $30-40 from current levels during that time. If it stays sideways or makes a run towards $1100, then I close the position for a small loss and move on.

I brought this to your attention because I think 2016 will be the year where the price movements in gold will present nice trading opportunities. But be quick to act so you can take profits or cut losses right away, that's the nature of the casino.

Here are some more plays for you to think about for next year. On the long side, I have two video game companies, Electronic Arts and Activision. Both did well this past year, both have some excellent franchise titles, should benefit from the new trend of digital downloads/sales as well VR which is the next big computing paradigm.

On the short side, I'm looking at Visa and MasterCard. These two have a very profitable, insulated business model, but 2016 could be the year that changes. Google, Apple, PayPal, Samsung and others are getting into the payment processing business, which is Visa and Mastercard's turf. Neither stock is cheap, and as more people start using their phones to pay for stuff and merchants sign up, those two could be in trouble.

  12. I just did some math.

If Budfox bought DGLD at $92.73 and sold today at $94.73 with a $750 profit, that means he sold around 375 shares.

    375 x $92.73 = $34773.75

Budfox: Did you really put $34773.75 into a 3X ETF??!!??

Not a great week, but probably as good as Snot's 3X trade on a per cent basis (2 round trip trades). Of course I was only trading 200 shares at a time (not $100k trades).
