ITS OVER FOR THE GOLD TRADERS

I should never have bought those miner stocks
Just a few months ago sentiment was high with the Fast Money traders all bullish on owning the precious metals and their mining shares. Traders were up astounding percentages from their remarkable lows at the beginning of this year. It seemed like there was no end to the inexorable rise of the most hated trade in market history.  Suddenly there was a shine to the gold trade again with the likes of Peter Shifty and Bill Fleckenoodle now allowed back on air to tout the greatest trade of the year.

What happened? What went wrong? How could something so certain go so wrong? After all the studying you did to justify the fundamentals of investing in this sector only to have it shoved right back down your throat. You waited to invest in more shares after a 20% correction from their highs and they were hammered down another 30%. You were hammered senseless for being conservative.

So what is your lesson? Don't fight the Fed. Surely you know by now they don't want the price of gold flashing red to their money printing scheme.  What else have you learned? How about we have a growing, improving economy now. We are adding jobs every month now. We have more part-time bartenders and waitresses than at anytime in our history. There is that slight problem with a 40 year high of working age Mericans (95M) that are no longer employed. Please ignore that. Please ignore also that wages are stagnant (but the price of chicken and hamburger are up 20 and 60% this year alone). By the way how is your health care premiums? Can you repeat after me ....."all is good"....

If Everything is so Bullish, Why Are Bank Insiders Dumping Their Shares at Record Pace?

Again, HOW in the hell can you be so wrong on your trade? Just think. If you had invested in the SnP in Jan. instead of the Miners then you would be up 12% instead of 100-300% like many miners discussed here are right now from the lows in Jan.

Oh wait......I get it .....You bought in AFTER they went up double and triple and now ya want your money back. LOL. You can't Budfox this trade. You can't whine you lost. You are in the most hated sector of the stock market and you thought they were gonna make this easy for you???? You thought the boyz weren't gonna take some profit AND short you to hell for a few months while they stole your shares from you when you puked them up the last few weeks. It was gonna be easy wasn't it? Like takin' candy from a baby. Sure it was..........gl

Here comes the new boss same as the old boss? No markets, just taxpayer interventions, if he can cut the tax rate will the Dow go higher and what will that do to PMs?

I have to admit, even I bought into the latest hope and change, wow these guys are good. Let the Bread and Circus continue for all.

Dec 14th and Jan 20th seem to be significant, wonder if silver can go from oversold to extremely over sold or if the bottom is in. Took some profits from AG, thanks.

    1. AG will rip when and ONLY when the boyz decide it rip it.....fundamental news has no bearing on its price. In fact its just the opposite. The metals big move occurred right after last Decembers rate hike news which tells you the boyz have complete control......at least for awhile. They are moving against the crowd/boat.......right now we could have a little oversold bounce OR we might get true slaughter down to finish off the weak hands still clinging to their miner shares

  4. Whoa! Look at what they did to gold after the Renzi referendum lost...does it sound like a good idea to eliminate the Senate in Italy? Apparently the peeps didn't think so.
Gold taken from 1188 to 1176 in the snap of a finger. They're working on AG right this second.
More anti-establishment. Looking bad for the EU...the peeps are anti-globalism. I only worry what may be even worse that they can cook up.

  6. Like Jim says you need to know the macro picture to trade gold but good luck trading in this "market" even though they do use little news bits to swing the fake paper price.

    Here is my basic understanding:

    http://www.prisonplanet.com/catherine-austin-fitts-the-looting-of-america.html

"Fitts explains how every dollar of debt issued to service every war, building project, and government program since the American Revolution up to around 2 years ago – around $12 trillion – has been doubled again in just the last 18 months alone with the bank bailouts. “We’re literally witnessing the leveraged buyout of a country and that’s why I call it a financial coup d’état, and that’s what the bailout is for,” states Fitts.

Massive amounts of financial capital have been sucked out the United States and moved abroad, explains Fitts, ensuring that corporations have become more powerful than governments, changing the very structure of governance on the planet and ensuring we are ruled by private corporations. Pension and social security funds have also been stolen and moved offshore, leading to the end of fiscal responsibility and sovereignty as we know it."

    http://www.fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/9-3-trillion-missing-from-pentagon-not-an-issue-to-corporate-media/172944

"Catherine thinks the Bankers have stolen $50 trillion from us. That money invested at even 5% – or $2.5 trillion a year – would be sufficient to fund NWO operations"

Ah, to be a market maker with endless free money, life is good.

  11. Here's a lil secret to put in the comments. The Fed does not fear deflation here....they fear INFLATION and that's because to stop inflation once it starts to roll requires raising interest rates above what the debt can tolerate and then it all becomes apocalyptic. They have to manage this very carefully here and I think they do a nice pullback again in the near term this or next quarter in market ( just like last year) then print it up and bring in Trumporama helicopter money. Gives us another year and a half before inflation pulls the plug on ponzirama.

  20. In this age of constant propaganda and corruption, perhaps "The Market" algos had some information in them to paint the market for more reaction to Da Fed's massive 1/4 pt raise to pretend they still have "tools" in their tool box and they are still on top of it even though "The Market" collapsed years ago. That and Hillary is warning everyone about the "Fake News", it was the russians, it was the voting machines, it was Comey... BWAAHAHAHA. I guess we are getting the guvmint we deserve? Strange times.

    -OH

    ReplyDelete
  21. algos were set off of a "central program" they were given access to. There were "variables" entered that changed with time and dependent upon your level of access. The game was to find what the top level algos were triggered by or you were eventually just "gamed" with limited returns after the first few years. By 2013 only the top tier firms were able to program the algos effectively. Smaller algo bots were just discontinued over the last two years. Its funny how the "triggers" were accidentally tripped by "fat" fingers such as you might see in the 1000 pt drops over the past and then had to be quickly rescued by the CBs algo setters. Its really funny how a "high volume" trade can upset the algobots resulting in an immediate selling frenzy. Of course the silver gold game is set off the same principle. send in a high volume algo hit and watch the algobots respond with a 1 minute waterfall move. Happens almost daily to control the price. Miners are somewhat different with the trading houses accumulating right now but same the same principle is used.........the difference is that we are accumulating

Yes and what is more disturbing is they have intentionally chosen a course of action that was intended to "buy time" or "extend and pretend" while the supposedly tried to find a solution to the collapse of the real economy. The real economy is now sitting on an even bigger stack of TNT and when it goes their will be total devastation. If you are in the blast zone you will be taken out in less than a week. If you are outside you may buy longer but unless you are self sufficient and well prepared then your time is measured in months only.
