GOLD HAS FURTHER TO FALL

This is the typical nonsense headline appearing for the past two weeks. Instead of bottom picking headlines, it seems that a predominance of "further to fall" headlines appear with the most frequency.  Its already a sector that has sustained a long and painful pullback after its early 2016 run for glory, particularly in the mining sector where gains of 300% and more were common. Of course these gains were seen from ridiculous lows in many of the primary producers and mid tiers.

San Francisco Home Prices Soar By A Record $200,000 In Six Months....Okay I give up lol

Trump's Bite May Be Worse Than His Bark: Stockman Slams "Absurd, Dangerous, Stupid" Policies

So why all the gloom? Because that is the desired goal. Miners were brought up to a more acceptable price point in 2016. Then all of the "late to the party" new leaves had to endure a severe shake out to test their resolve to the precious metals trade. Of course after gains of 300% the trade had attracted a lot of attention in 2016 and a mere 6 month or so shake out was not going to be sufficient and a more lengthy, brutal beatdown occurred with an "ever-lengthening" accumulation phase playing out in the miners and the metal.

Sentiment is so bad now, that no one even gives a shit about analysis like this. All the bagholders in this trade just want to get out of their miner positions when their trade turns green.  What interests me at this point is how technicals such as MACD RSI and STOCHASTICS on the metal prices and HUI and GDX all look like a short term bottom is nearing but even the technical traders are afraid of more pain. Well so am I, but that's what I expect to feel at these junctures (if its a juncture of course).

“I have no enemies. I dont permit such a thing. ”

Bottom line is they want your shares and they can push it all lower to take them. BUT look at what is going on in miners like GORO, AG, EXK, AKG, CDE, and SSRM. There are many others with similar patterns and looking at HUI XAU and GDX show a very different picture which just might not be an accident while the individual quality miners are accumulated. Why are they doing this? I don't know, but as a confessed CONspiracy theorist I have a few ideas.

China Threatened By "Vicious Circle Of Panic Selling" From Marketwide Margin Call....lol bail um all out bitchezz lets see how that wurks out fur ya

I watched negative headlines on gold on my muted Bloomberg screen for the past  two weeks. That's what you see at bottoms. Its not accidental. I pay more attention to following the money and right now the money is buying an awful large number of miners while the headline paper METAL PRICES are moving DOWN. That might mean nothing, but these moves have been quiet, and sustained for about 6 months. No one cares and no one talks about it..........lol......good.

Abandon your principles "The only people who seem to benefit from the spread of the blank slate are the people already in political and economic power. For if they can convince the masses to ignore their conscience, they can then convince us to accept almost any other conditions.
The problem with choosing to stick by one’s principles is that it is easy during times of relative stability, but increasingly difficult during times of struggle.
Most of all, narcissistic sociopaths want everyone around them to believe that we are just like them. That “deep down” all of us are unprincipled and morally bankrupt and all it takes is a crisis or calamity, just a little chaos to bring out the devil in everyone. "

    1. I have found in times of crisis that many people show incredible signs of moral strength so I do have hope for many of us in spite of what they might believe or want us to believe. Also last summer in upstate NY in a very small, old enclave I was privy to a visit with an heiress to a big bank family and visited one day with her at her old summer home on three acres in this tiny town. I was privy to going into her backyard and lo and behold she and her companion had developed an entire preppers heaven of fruit and nut trees planted about 2009 (hehee) and a very nice vegetable garden. My guy was one of the boyz and without batting an eye or commenting collected his fresh food from the garden (she was coming home later) and never said a word........To me this was just CONfirmation what many of the knowledgeable elite are doing (just in case)

      1. Ownership of stocks and other assets is highly concentrated in entrenched elites. The average household is disconnected from the stock market and other measures of wealth; only a thin sliver of households own enough financial/speculative wealth to make an actual difference in their lives.

      2. The infrastructure of the nation used by the many is poorly maintained and costly to operate as entrenched elites plunder the funding to pad their payrolls, pensions and sweetheart/insider contracts.

      3. The financial/political elites have exclusive access to parallel systems of transport, healthcare, education, etc. The elites avoid trains, subways, lenders, coach-class air transport, standard healthcare and the rest of the decaying, dysfunctional systems they own that extract wealth from the debt-serfs.

      6. Cartels and quasi-monopolies are parasitically extracting the wealth of the nation for their elite owners and managers. Google: quasi-monopoly. Facebook: quasi-monopoly. Healthcare: cartel. Banking: cartel. National defense: cartel. National Security: cartel. Corporate mainstream media: cartel. Higher education: cartel. Student loans: cartel. I think you get the point: every key institution or function is controlled by cartels or quasi-monopolies that serve the interests of the few via parasitic exploitation of the powerless.

      9. The well-paid factotums, bureaucrats, technocrat lackeys and enforcers who fatten their own skims and pensions at the expense of the public and slavishly serve the interests of the entrenched elites embrace the delusion that they’re “wealthy” and “the system is working great.” These deluded servants of the elites will defend the dysfunctional system because it serves their interests to do so.

The more dysfunctional the institution, the greater their power, so they actively increase the dysfunction at every opportunity.

    2. I will never put this following comment in a post but will put it in this thread.....the true power and its banking arms have prepositioned themselves to benefit from this tariff/trade war/collapse with major investments in the very manufacturing companies THEY collapsed and then vulture invested in over the past 20 years. One of the primary point men for this was Wilbur Ross. He is one of many involved in primary private equity ownership just waiting for the eventual "reset" that will place them in positions to profit immensely from their "stewardship" and "value investing".....lol......Meanwhile the Bloomberg headlines will be running non stop (as they already are) that Trump created the collapse. The attention (after the fact) will focus on the "cause" of the collapse (conveniently diverted from the malinvestment and debt from monetary policy)........Maybe we get a hot war but for sure we get a "hot" meltdown and just maybe blaming Trump will suffice for the bloodlust to divert the peeps attention. After the dust settles, those that own the remaining hard manufactures etc (like Ross/his masters) will quietly move ahead into the Brave New World.....lol..........Warren Buffett will still parade over his "brilliant" prepositioning....hahahahahahahaah

  21. Think "block-chain", "big-data" and AI and how they relate to total CONtrol and enslaving of the sheep. AI requires access of "big data". There is nothing intelligent about it - it is a combination of lots of data subjected to lots of relationship rules. Claims about AI are a CONtrol lies.

It is all tied together in a CONtrol package. Over 30 years developing and supporting data systems gives me insights that otherers miss??? It is in the last decade that all these items have been possible (cost and technology came together)

  22. Kli,

I know where you stand, I see miners are pretty tied to the gold and silver price and they have been taken down over the past couple of years. I really don't see how they can take gold lower but they have gotten away with so much.

If there is a stock correction this fall, maybe not a crash, can miners be taking even lower? Is it better to have some cash for a buy in at lower miner prices and have some core in miners just in case?

wondering how this will play out, I am worried miners will be dragged down with the rest of "the market"

    1. You should worry. Its paper and they can do with it as they please. I like the play here because of the trend on several of these miners over the past six months while gold and silver get beat senseless.....lol......it tells me what the "smart money" is doing....of course they can be wrong too.....but these are not retail players moving into GORO EXK AKG SSRM CDE Kirkland PAAS .....this is how they play it.....but also interesting is how they keep the GDX etf subdued/flat while these individual miners are being taken up in price......they're shaking the tree right here which is fine but I am fully invested and not leveraged. I do sell some of my positions and shift into other positions in a rebalancing but that is not what i want to talk about here in detail......best advice if you are trading these is be prepared for pain but leverage kills you. best move in these stocks was two years ago when the market was crashing in early 2016..........money moves remember that

      Delete
    2. these kind of shakeouts are really hard on leveraged players like the smaller hedge boyz......so maybe they thought they could hook onto the charts like exk and akg but they were just beaten up and lost some serious protection money.....i dont play that game so i am unaffected but if you view it as a "rebalancing" opportunity then it works well.......2016 move was a tell AND a reset for higher prices.....with to me a clear new bull trend formed......CLEARLY i can be wrong and will accept the pain.........buying physical much less traumatic....lol

    3. money is fungible and will not remain static in the ponzi stocks. these guys will need to flow into cheap assets (what i think the smart money is doing now) ......i'm talking paper now......more specific paper shares. there have to be losers and the losers will be those that stay too long in the over valued shares like nflx tesla etc.....there are great stories out there and just like in 2000 you will see the JDSU the worldcoms the MSFT.....the Cisco systems etc......that were the "pipes" of the coming storm called the "internet"....lol......they sold this story to the schmucks and then butchered them.......I had friends that watched the first slaughter of these high flyers take their 40% hit and then said WTF......and went all in........just like the miners in 2012.......what could go wrong???? right??? hahahhhaah......then they were destroyed with many of these "high flyers" like JDSU worldcom etch going to NOTHING.......lol......I know because I was caught in a bunch of these.......it took me six years to get back and finally higher......I'll play the miners but I know they can still feel pain.....but I want a paper play for what I think has been coming and (is still coming)....... We can have discussions about how bad it will get but no one knows for certain. My play is for the rosy scenario.......lol.......at least the "rosy scenario" that we have a few more years before mad max.....

You can't help but compare yourself against the old-timers. Can't help but wonder how they'd have operated these times. There was this boy I sent to the 'lectric chair at Huntsville here awhile back. My arrest and my testimony. He killt a 14 year-old girl. Papers said it was a crime of passion but he told me there wasn't any passion to it. Told me that he'd been plannin' to kill somebody for about as long as he could remember. Said that if they turned him out, he'd do it again. Said he knew he was going to hell: 'Be there in about fifteen minutes.' I don't know what to make of that. I surely don't. The crime you see now, it's hard to even take its measure. It's not that I'm afraid of it. I always knew you had to be willin' to die to even do this job. But, I don't want to push my chips forward and go out and meet somethin' I don't understand. Road rage, declining living standards, people financially stressed working all the time to make ends meet, poor customer service where they actually resent the customer, backstabbing at the workplace where productivity in chastised due to insecurity and fear of losing ones job and incompetency and sloth are rewarded, corporatocracy in a kakistocracy.
