THIS IS NOT YOUR DADDY'S BULL MARKET

For those of you that have been in this market either as a professional or retail trader for more than a couple of decades, this post is for you. More specifically this is for those of you that have followed the precious metal trade for more than a couple of decades.

We are at juncture in a multi decade secular bull market in gold and silver. The particular bull move in gold that we are currently in will last for at least a year before we get a major correction lasting several months up to a couple of years as the most recent correction did from the baby bull move of 2016. All of this depends upon the system staying together without some major market disruption.

Comey Under DOJ Investigation For Misleading Trump While Targeting Him In FBI Probe...lol wake me up when this piece of shit bagman is behind bars

You're not in this trade just because you expect a major, apocalyptic collapse. In fact, you should be rooting against this outcome if you have a modicum of brain cells functioning. It definitely can happen just as it almost did in 2008. I believe they've repaired the banking system enough to withstand the recession (really its a depression now) that is emerging. I think they have monetary and fiscal plans to kick this can even further down the road as we slowly boil in a cesspool of caca.

Do we live as I have repeatedly said in a remarkably fragile, just in time system, that teeters on the abyss if Nature kicks one of the legs out from under it? Yes we do and the Black Swans out there to do just that, are enormous in number. So yes, you should absolutely prep and understand that fragility exists.

What seems inevitable/ certain is the coming financial uncertainty and "need for inflation" that has been TOLD to you by the people that can and WILL bring it to you. Therein lies your tell and why you need to open your eyes and your brain and act. Not for an apocalypse, that certainly may come, but for one hell of a butt ugly screw the pooch shit show of an economic ride to hell.  Even if we get just a 70's style malaise/stagflation (my hope) you have to be in the PM sector. Enjoy the shit show, you're in it already, and its just going to keep getting worse. Don't trade this like you did your Daddy's stock market. This PM sector (mining shares) will shock you to your core on its move to the upside just as it did to the downside.

  1. Most disheartening aspect of that webinar - pension expert says federal govt will bail out all the underfunded state and local pension plans, What incentive is there for any such plan to be fiscally responsible, why not just minimize contributions altogether, make large pay-outs and then show up at the door of our next socialist president and congress to trade a bail out for the pensioner vote? We as a nation are screwed, sorry I am just figuring that out...

  4. Any comment KLI if you expect we might see a rash of acquisitions or mergers in the mining industry, esp among the juniors? Neumeyer is on record saying acquisitions are more cost effective than developing a new mine. This is from a couple months back but maybe it will turn out to be quite prescient. https://safehaven.com/commodities/precious-metals/2019-Could-Be-The-Year-Of-Gold-Mining-Mega-Mergers.html

    1. Which begs the question why you post on a blog entitled The Great Depression weekly market news.

You were lucky, your hard work paid off in an era where hard work actually paid off, you could get by on ONE salary (house/car/college/retirement) where now it takes two salaries to just keep up.

What's the labor participation rate now? 80%? How about the cost of health care, housing, etc where many illegals and legal aliens get all that stuff for free. Was that prevalent in your time?

I am in a part of the country where its already expensive but a lot of stuff happens here first. The fact that you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening. The younger generations are getting screwed. Seems like we've had this conversation before.

    2. You were probably able to generate interest on your savings, how about that now? Why does a car that used to cost 15k now 30k?
why are there so many homeless tent cities now?

    3. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-26/michael-hudson-us-economic-warfare-and-likely-foreign-defenses

"Trump’s infrastructure ideology is a Public-Private Partnership characterized by high-cost financialization demanding high monopoly rents to cover its interest charges, stock dividends and management fees. This neoliberal policy raises the cost of living for the U.S. labor force, making it uncompetitive. The United States is unable to produce more at any price right now, because its has spent the past half-century dismantling its infrastructure, closing down its part suppliers and outsourcing its industrial technology.

The United States has privatized and financialized infrastructure and basic needs such as public health and medical care, education and transportation that other countries have kept in their public domain to make their economies more cost-efficient by providing essential services at subsidized prices or freely. The United States also has led the practice of debt pyramiding, from housing to corporate finance. This financial engineering and wealth creation by inflating debt-financed real estate and stock market bubbles has made the United States a high-cost economy that cannot compete successfully with well-managed mixed economies."

    8. I’m going to listen to the interview a few more times. Hudson makes a lot of the points Kli has made through the years . But it’s hard to wrapped your head around what he is saying after years of being told so many lies! I will say it makes our foreign policy much more comprehensible.
As far as gold is concerned I don’t think the cartel really has to worry about retail. I have friends who have inherited lots of gold and they sold it all. I asked them, why don’t you kept some of it, just a little, and they rolled their eyes, like I was kinda of stupid. Some of my friends even make fun of it and praise Alexander Hamilton. As you know they have made a play about him. It’s amazing how one can have “the wool pulled over their eyes.”
